Important Information Session!
WCB (Workers’ Compensation Board) and DLAE (Department of Labour & Advanced Education) are looking for Members of the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia to participate in a conversation. In addition to learning more about the impact of workplace injury in the Cosmetology Industry, they would like to hear your thoughts about the key considerations and issues involved in expanding workplace injury insurance to workers (such as cosmetologists) who are not covered today. our participation in this meeting is encouraged so that you have a voice in determining how this affects our industry going forward. The first 90-minute session was scheduled for February 10, 2020 with approximately 10 members in attendance. CANS encouraged WCB and DLAE to hold more meetings throughout the province on such an important topic. Two additional sessions have been confirmed. Please come out to these meetings and hear what they have to say!

March 2nd at 6pm at The Hampton in Membertou Cape Breton
March 23rd at 1pm at Old Orchard Inn in Wolfville.
